If you have added a crypto source that contains transactions that you would like to categorize (for example, as staking rewards), Ledgible offers two ways for users to do this, by transaction or in bulk.
To categorize individual transactions in Ledgible:
- Navigate to the Transactions tab.
- Locate the transaction you would like to categorize, and click the Action button (three dots) on the right of the transaction.
- Select Add Categorization from the menu that opens.
- Select the categorization you would like from the list. Please note the options for outgoing transfers are different to incoming transfers.
- Click Confirm, and your transaction will have been successfully categorized.
To categorize transactions in bulk:
- Navigate to the Transactions tab.
- Click the Categorize button to the top right of the page.
- Click Create new rule on the following page.
- On the following page, select first the Rule Action, then the From and/or To addresses for the transactions you would like to categorize. Then, select a start and end date range for this rule to apply. Finally, set the categorization to be applied when criteria for this rule are met.
- On the following page, confirm the settings for your new rule, and create the rule. Your categorization will now happen automatically.
