Ledgible scans for transaction type when a source is added to assign a category to each transaction. These can be, for example, Buy, Sell, Receive, Withdraw, Interest Income, Staking Income, etc.
Occasionally, you may want to change the category assigned to a transaction for a more accurate reflection of your transaction history. This article will demonstrate how to do so for individual transactions, or in bulk.
To categorize individual transactions in Ledgible:
- Navigate to the Transactions tab.
- Locate the transaction you would like to categorize, and click the dropdown.
- Select the category that corresponds to your transaction.
Your new category selection will now be applied to the transaction. You can use the orange revert button to return to the original transaction category at any time.
To categorize transactions in bulk:
- Navigate to the Transactions tab.
- Select the multiple transactions you would like to assign the same category to using the tickboxes on the left of the transactions.
- In the top-right of the transaction table, click Select Bulk Action, then Categorize.
- From the new dropdown, select the category you would like to apply to your transactions. Then, click Confirm.
Your new category selection will now be applied to the transaction. You can use the orange revert button to return to the original transaction category at any time.
